Hello! First time here, hope someone can help. I've recently installed TI11. I had been using TI9 for quite some time and was happy. After completing the first full image backup in TI11 successfully, I wanted to use the Create Bootable Rescue Media function but it's nonfunctional.

When launching Media Builder (either from inside TI11 or it's own entry in the Acronis Program Group), the very first screen which should offer Acronis components to be included on the Bootable Rescue Media has no entries from which to choose. The selection boxes on both side of the screen are blank like Media Builder doesn't know which Acronis products I have installed (only TI11). Since there's nothing else to do, clicking Next produces an error box telling me I should choose one or more options first!

I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, rebooting, etc. several times. No change.

Anyone ever seen this problem? Am I overlooking something? Acronis' website was no help and my trouble ticket with c/s has no response yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

During installation, did you choose Custom and choose the option to install the Rescue Media Builder as per page 12 of user manual.

First time install that's exactly what I did. Second and third times I selected Complete option. Would TI11 not install Rescue Media under Complete option? Thanks.

    Hello davidjames,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please uninstall Acronis True Image, reboot your computer and clear Windows temp folders.
    Please also do the following:
Download the Windows CleanUp utility from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301/en-us, install and run it.
Select the Acronis product you are trying to install and hit Remove.
Then try installing Acronis True Image again.

If the issue persists, please collect some information to let us investigate it thoroughly:

Please create Windows System Information as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

Please also create a screenshot of the problem window.

Then submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with a solution.

    Thank you.
