I have installed build 9646 on an old computer, just to create a recovery boot CD (I don't want to bug my main computer with ATI2009 full install).

Then, using this recovery CD on my main computer, I have done a partition backup of the main Windows (64 bits) partition, saved on an external USB disk.

Then I switched my internal hard disk to the exact same one that I keep as a spare in case it gets dead.

I did a full recovery, without any problem, works all right.

I purchase ATI 2009 for a single feature : backup/restore using the recovery CD.
And it works very well : backup takes 35 minutes, recovery takes 12 minutes.
(23Gb of data in the partition, compressed by ATI as 15 Gb)

Nothing changed since my last email to Acronis support.
No answer to that email dated January 1st!
It's starting to be a little bit long :doubt:

If by chance someone from support team is reading those forums, my support ticket number is "00D3Zcb.50055Yqed"

I have difficulties to understand you case numbering system.

My last contact with support was 5 days ago.

After having replied by email to a question about the possibility to switch to english language version, I've received the following answer:
Why a new case number is necessary for a simple answer?

and here's the subject line of the message if it may help you
    unable to get ATI 2009 Update 1 (build 9646) [ ref:00D3Zcb.50055YFzP:ref ] [ ref:00D3Zcb.50055aarL:ref ]

Absolutely, I'm know an happy English language Acronis customer. And I've even be able to upgrade to latest build, 9709, with more bug fixes.

The problem that probably explained the long delay regarding the resolution of my problem is that, every time I was responding by email to a support question (using "reply" in my email client), a new case number was apparently generated.

    Example:
On of the last the support email message contained this sentence:
(NNNNNNN and PPPPPPPP being different numbers)

So I immediately replied to this message :
and, guess what, this answer caused the generation of *another* support case. o_O
(QQQQQQQQ is an another completely new case number)

I would very please to learn how to answer to an acronis support email related to an opened case without causing the creation of a new case number each time.

If you pressed the Reply button, a new case shouldn't has been created. Could you please let us know the e-mail client you use?

    Thank you.
