    Thunderbird: 2.0.0.23
    ESET Smart Security 4.0.474.0

The buttons in Thunderbird are always greyed out. Even the right-click menu for a message in greyed out.

Works fine in Outlook 2007, but not Thunderbird.

    Any ideas?

    From the help files:

    Note
In order for antispam protection to work with IMAP accounts, you must enable the Make the messages in my Inbox available when I am working offline (Account Settings > Offline & Disk Space) option. This option ensures that messages are downloaded immediately after receipt which is necessary for the antispam module to function correctly.

    Hi,

Thankyou for the help in restoring the buttons for ESS on Thunderbird.

I am now experiencing a similar issue, but in reverse.

All the buttons are now in colour, not greyed out. They seem to function, however incoming mail does not seem to be marked as Spam or Not Spam. Both buttons are highlighted. If I manually mark a new message as Spam, it stats in my Inbox, and both buttons are still available for me to click.

Does configuring antispam to move spam messages to a specific folder that already exists make a difference?

Do I understand correctly that you have turned off option Make the messages in my Inbox available when I am working offline (Account Settings > Offline & Disk Space) and toolbar still have enabled antispam buttons but they do nothing?
