Thought on Malware

This isn't just a ESET NOD32 thing, but I'm interested to hear about how ESET decide and find Malware sources and add detection?

What I'm talking about is, there are a number of sites that track new released of malware and assist in removal of spyware.

My thought is, if I can find these sites and learn what to avoid - because it's malware. Then why can't ESET use / browser these same sources to proactively track and add detection? Or do they?

I'm not sure if this is ok, but I'm not linking to Malware but to sites that warn about malware.
