Third-party programs are responsible for 76% of the vulnerabilities discovered in the
50 most popular programs in 2013, say the results of Secunia's Vulnerability Review 2014,
which is based on a sampling of the company’s seven million PSI users.

What a load of FUD BS ..
You do realize that Secunia earns it living on fear, right ?

As an example, they give this :
'The security breach in the US Department of Energy was caused by a combination of managerial and technological system weaknesses – the perfect feeding ground for hackers, enabling them to exploit vulnerabilities present in an infrastructure.'

And that has WHAT to do with 'Third-party programs' ?
What do they even mean by 'third-party programs' ??
Anything not made by M$ it seems .

    Oh wait a second ..

Please, in the future, find a source that doesn't have self-serving financial
interests in spreading FUD and nonsense .
