    Nice article.

    Just wondering about all those repositories. NuX Desktop repository works well with EPEL and neither of those two conflict with SL-core. VLC v2 appears to be in NuX Desktop repository. I've had a CentOS laptop running with EPEL + Nux desktop for half a year or so with no issues. Don't use Skype though...

    @mattdocs12345: I think debian pimping is either stable+backports and install what you want, or if you really want reasonably new packages, SID. SID breaks though, see current discussions on the Debian forum.
