The rabbit virus

    I ran a scan with AVG and it found a virus called "Rabbit". And after the scan, AVG couldnt remove it, any suggestions?

    Hi John,

    Since there are at least 3 viruses/variants named like that (actually 2, since one is a so called "joke virus"), could you be more specific? Perhaps an extract from the log file will help.

    I tried the Housecall scan, didnt load, tried 5 times, still didnt. I searched throughout the net for more online scans, and tried the Pandasoftware Active scan.

    After the scan had finished, it said it removed the 3 viruses (2 of them are the test ones mentioned somewhere on this site). According to the scan, the virus is called "I Worm/Happy"!! o_O

    Sorry for the pointless thread :oops:

    Yup never a pointless thread if you figure something out, clean something, or otherwise learn something even if it seems insignificant now! Lots of things I learn here I think aren't very important I often wind up helping a friend with later.
