    Thats quite much of RAM most of todays suites require about 128MB RAM

    wow this went on my test machine and came right off.. this is a pig.. i figured what the heck ill try it.. sorry panda.. those prcc's are insane ... and this really slowed this system down and its a e2200 dual core with 4gb of ram and i still saw a huge impact

    I have TruPrevent on and I ran it in my VPC. No drag ...

    What you all talking about??

    i havnt tried 2009, but people used to say 2008 was heavy and it seemed fine on my machine :doubt:

    ... still, its not the cheapest of AV's and their policy for upgrades sucks.

    Sometimes he does/says dumb things.

    Panda was NOT crashing. It was refusing to boot on start-up because he never activated it. Even the demo versions have to be activated. Watch the video again. Watch what he says and does when the program asks him to activate it :)

    Also his first test was done without being connected to the net. That's the foundation and the whole point of the cloud technology. He might as well have just disabled the scanner!! The second test was done while connected to the net. In this second test Panda detected and disinfected ALL THE MALWARE :)

    I have tried the Panda AV 2009 on mine and it seemed pretty light, not at all what you describe here. I guess it varies from one PC to another, but that's no surprise, that's usually the case. It IS a large app, but seemed reasonably good as far as performance goes, and no slowdowns here either.

    Just my 2 cents....;)

    not as bad as some for me but imo it was at least as bad as f secure for me or maybe even a bit worse
