I'm still running the 07 model with three months left on my license. It's run smooth as butter and I may just renew for the 2008 version since those three months will get added in for free..sort of...:)

This means the upgrades still are not free for Panda products. Their marketing team is just being plain silly in this regard, since pretty much every other vendor has been offering free product upgrades during the license period now....

Panda has always made customers buy the newer versions, unless you had just purchased the old version within 90 days prior to release if I recall correctly.

Any feedback about this version would be appreciated. How does it run? Any changes to the GUI? New features?

How well does the new "Mega Detection" work?

    Thanks.

Same for me, running light as the 2007 model. The HTML scanning seems to cause an occasional slight slowdown with busy-cluttered websites. I'm not sure if its Panda or maybe the HTML scanning and my Proxomitron with Sidki's rules locking horns a bit. The GUI is almost exactly the same with a few more clickables added and the statistics area gives a bit more information on blocked viruses, worms etc. The Taskbar is a little more functional and now you can right click it and update. I may just go for a renewal on this...:thumb:
