See if you can download CWShredder from another source, or change it's name when you are saving it.

It's a bit of hit and miss with other programs that can get rid of it.

May be some other free ones, not sure

If all that fails, post a HijackThis log at one of the many places that check them (spywareinfo, castlecops, spywarewarrior and a few others)

Where are you trying to download it from? Normally, now that Trend Micro has bought up Intermute which previously bought CWShredder, you can download CWShredder from: http://www.trendmicro.com/cwshredder/ (still freeware).

If the website you tried to download it was too busy to accept your connection try again or try the Trend Micro website (if you haven't yet).

The other assumption is that you have the dreaded and very hard to get rid of cws spyware and it is blocking the saving of CWShredder to your computer. If so, you should try to get the download on another computer, rename it, and put it on a floppy (its only 481KB) or use another way to get it onto your computer. Latest version is 2.15, May 2005.
