    Hello:

    I'm using Nod32 4.2.71.2 on W&7 64 bit.

    THIS IS AN OBSERVATION:

In my log, this entry shows up even though I don't have/use the personal firewall OR at least I thought that.

05/07/2011 8:19:05 PM Personal firewall Error communicating with epfwndis.sys driver.

    QUESTIONS

    1) Do I have the personal fw driver anyway?
    2) If not why does the error message occur looking for something not present?
    3) Does the beta version do this as well?

Maybe you did upgraded smart security to a newer version of NOD32

please post the firewall module version here, maybe that module is not updated

Your assumptions are correct, in that NOD32 Antivirus does not have a firewall module attached. Is this driver present in non-plug and play drivers (Make sure you can view all hidden devices)? Is this error affecting the overall functionality of the program?

It could be a beta version left over.

I went on a hunt for epfwndis.sys but it is NOT present.

The error seems to be that NOD 32 AV is looking for this driver and not finding it.

So the error is in the search logic?
