    Hi everyone! According to Rokop,

    http://www.rokop-security.de/main/article.php?sid=580

F-secure is the best unpacker ever, when it scores 93%, AntiVirenKit Pro 12 and Kaspersky scored 91%!

It'd be interesting to see how GAV stacks up in those tests when it's submitted for testing.

"Unpacking" is definitely one of its' strong points. Pete

I suspect, it was only a "lucky hit" by the F-Prot engine (which can _not_ unpack, but might still find a few packed samples by signature), or the KAV engine has been improved in the time which passed from the original Rokop-test until the F-Secure test.
Of the three mentioned AVs, AVK should be the best unpacker, because its RAV engine is strong in unpacking, too. :)

Numbers are the same in German... :D
    McAfee had 66 %.
But remember, that McAfee did overall the best 'unpacking job' in this test: http://members.lycos.co.uk/scheinsicherheit/scanner.htm
(sorry, in German, too :doubt: )

GAV is not bad in unpacking, but it can't compete with the best, yet. ;)

    To everyone from Firefighter!

Maybe Rokop has come to that conclusion because F-Prot could unpack only 2 packers in that test but these were the only that KAV just couldn't unpack. RAV couldn't unpack any such packers that KAV couldn't! :D :D :D

    To Wizard from Firefighter!

I believe you even without those bullshits! :D :D :D

Because I can't German very well, I assumed only that 93% was true on that site,

I am only here to keep you awake! :D :D :D

By the way, I believe that all this arquing is very soon passed away, because does anybody believe that Microsoft is coming with to those different av-tests with it's RAV? :D :D :D

We have to get ready only to arquing what's the best beer in the world very soon! :D :D :D
