When I switched from hotmail to outlook (more than a month ago) one of the first times I wrote a mail (I think) I was asked to verify by logging in again. That was the case with all the accounts (as far as I recall). In the account which is the account to use to send the security question when I forget a password I've received 3 mails passing days saying :

    Hi,

Thanks for helping us verify your Microsoft account!

Here is your code: *3 times a different number*

If you didn't request this code, we recommend that you go to *****://account.live.com and change your password.

    Thanks,
    The Microsoft account team

I didn't change my password using this link, but ask myself (and you of course)...is this fishy?

Thx. I found such topics also, but as long as I don't react to the mails I don't think it's harmfull. Nevertheless I will still change passwords. I am curious how I got it o_O .
