I have a Thinkpad laptop (BIOS boot, no UEFI or GPT) running Windows 7 32-bit and just bought an identical laptop off eBay. I want to clone the hard drive in one and copy it to the HDD in the other. The idea is I want to be able to run both after the copy, even if they start moving away from being identical after that point.

Things I know I need to do:
    • Change Win7 license (I have another)
    • Change name of PC
    • Fix PnP drivers, etc
I don't know if there is a SID I need to change like in the 2000/XP days, so I'm open to suggestions. But the point of this thread is, is there anything special I need to do within Image for Linux's settings when I copy HDD to another? I imagine they will be different size drives too.

    valnar,

IFL GUI has a TBIDTool script which makes this easy. Click the TBIDTool icon and follow the instructions in the IFL userguide (page 48 ).
