You mean from the temp profile when the temp-thingy happens? Or in general?

Anyone tried to exclude ntuser.dat, ntuser.man files from being scaned?

Maybe you could try disabling scanning all files and leave only extensions of files that may potentially carry malware selected.

I've got some good news, the cause of problem has been found and we're working on it. It's caused by quarantine enumeration that was implemented in v. 4.2 and needs to be handled slightly differently on Win7 / Win 2008.

    Hi Marcos

Do you have a time frame as to when this is going to be fixed as this is a real pain having to switch the PC off everytime i want to switch users?:'(

Will this fix be via a component update or a new version i.e. 4.2.5?

    Thanks

Could you tell a release date of a patch solving this problem?
It is very annoying to restart computer every time we want to switch (re-login) user on our family-PC.
    Thank you in advance!

I'm rolling back to 4.0.474..this is getting ridiculous now. I'm astonished to find that ESET are continuing to release foreign language builds of 4.2.40 when there are fundamental problems with it. Surely it would make more sense to use their available resources to release a new build with the bugs fixed rather than annoy more non-English speaking people by inviting them to use a faulty product?!

If you want to wait until all bugs are fixed, then you'll never ever release anything at all. :p

Possibly true ;) However, v4.0.474 runs perfectly for me so i'm gonna be sticking with that for now.

I understand that it is difficult for developers as some builds may run fine on one pc but poorly on others...but considering that ESET have acknowledged the cause of the bug in 4.2.40, I find it weird that they are still pushing out other language versions of it, when they should concentrate their efforts on resolving the issue with a new build. They're just inviting more users to be affected by a known bug.

No exact date has been set for the release, all depends on the results of pre-release testing. All I can say is that we expect the new build to be available soon.
