    Hi.

I've been using NOD32 for about 2 years now and I have the latest version. I've had to have my pc fixed by a "techie" and he told me that NOD32 is "nothing." Instead, he recommends McAfee AntiVirus followed by Norton.

But according to the most recent AV Comparatives' Proactive/retrospective tests NOD32 receives a 3 Star "Advanced+" rating while McAfee receives a 1 Star "Standard" rating and Norton receives a 2 Star "Advanced" rating.

Can anyone comment on what the "techie" said to me?

One more question: Does NOD32 protect a PC as soon as the PC starts?

    Thank you.

I don't think I'd be going to that guy anymore. He obviously doesn't know what he's talking about. You should ask him if he ever heard of AV Comparatives.
    To answer your question....yes.
