I have been trialling TDS-3, which has now terminated.

Upon uninstall I am left with a write protected file:-TDS3hl.dll.

Why is this done? & how can it be simply removed please?

I found TDS-3 re-assuring but too complex for my level of knowledge.

I had problems with obtaining & installing updates.

Having read information on TDS-4 & implied simplicity, I hope to try that.

    Hello again Jooske :D

Hi there Foxfish, what a pity you didn't ask help in those 30 days, we could have guided you step by step to the right places to look for instance at FanJ's basic configuration and the daily updates are just on the site, download the radius.td3 each working day from the
    http://tds.diamondcs.com.au/index.php?page=update
and drop the file in the TDS directory, just like it is, nothing to unzip or unpack, only get it monday till friday a new one with only very occasional exceptions.

The file i don't know about, is it doing anything which it should not do?

    Hi, foxfish

Remove the write protection, then delete.

Hi Jooske, Yes I should have devoted more time with the customised aspects.there was no problem with routine usage.
Downloads were conducted as per your link but after two failures I gave up.

The Quest, After Googling write protection, there appears to be methods that are dangerous to use, without adequate knowledge. There must be a utility somewhere.

There have been two or three times in the recent 30 days when there was no recent update, so you might have been exactly on one of those days.
Pity you didn't post here for help.
And in the registered version it would just be press the update menu option and all goes by itself, nothjing to unload or restart, all much easier.
If all the other regular options didn't give any problems either.......
Should be fine to use it for your security, it is really very easy as two/three buttonclicks.

    You might reconsider.........
