    Hi folks,
just noticed following records in firewall protocol.

24.4.2009 10:43:34 Chybný kontrolní součet TCP paketu 0
24.4.2009 10:43:28 Chybný kontrolní součet TCP paketu 0
24.4.2009 10:43:25 Chybný kontrolní součet TCP paketu 0
23.4.2009 14:05:18 Chybný kontrolní součet IP paketu 0

Saying in English - Faulty checksum of TCP or IP protocol.

Can somebody shed a light what's going on and how to solve it?
    Thx.

    Hi pegas,

Checksums are used to authenticate data integrity, so bad checksum in an IP or TCP header just means that the checksum doesn't match the packet data.

As for the cause... there are many. Glitches in a wireless connection or really any sort of internet connection will cause packet corruption.

Just google bad ip checksum and do some reading. I doubt that it's any cause for concern.

Thx, understood. It replicates on my intranet office connection whereas at home on a wi-fi it doesn't arise.
