Why/How has Task Manager been disabled by Administrator

For the past few weeks, I have not been able to access the Task Mamger. When I hit Ctrl/Alt/Del i get "Task Manager has been disabled by your Administrator."

Problem is , that this is on my home PC, and there is no "administrator" that I am aware of. Have I accedentally closed Task Manager when I was deleting adware/viruses, and how can it be restored?

Also, being a newbie to this site, let me know if there's a better place to Post this question.

Thanks and have a great week.

    Hi Candi,

If it's XP you're on, download and run this (note the additional reference for Emergency Utilities in case it closes again).
Care to add if any of your "deleted" spyware's are mentioned here?

    Thanks GlobalForce,

It seems to have re-enabled the Task Manager
