If that's the case, they better not come home. It's been hotter than hell here the last week with no letup till the end of this week. Today and tomorrow have predictions of 31C and high humidity which will make it feel like 40C

    I'm melting, i'm melting! :D ;) :D

Yes they are Ron as normal temps for this time in june are around 22C.

Last summer we only had a handfull of days over 30C and according to the Weather Channel, we have already surpassed that. Can't complain though as the good weather only sticks around for about 3 or 4 months anyway.

Did you pick up those sacks for us yet? :p The stats in this morning's paper are:
    Seattle 26 wins, 34 losses, .433 pct.
    Oakland 24 wins, 37 losses, .393 pct.

Get out the brooms, we were swept. :(

Give credit to the Astros, they played very well. :)

Oh well, back home against the Cardinals. Hope we fare a little better. ;) :D

Looks like Oswalt was outstanding. One bright spot out of the gloom. :D

Roy Oswalt made quick work of the Toronto Blue Jays. Oswalt pitched his first career two-hitter, leading the Houston Astros over the Blue Jays 3-0 Sunday in the quickest game in Minute Maid Park history. Oswalt (7-7) retired 24 of the final 25 batters he faced and needed only 88 pitches for his sixth straight home win

From what i saw Ron, Oswalt was almost unhitable. There was some fine defensive plays too. Nice to see a ball game zip along for a change instead of the usual 3 to 4 hrs. Good for them.

Just a little update. Jays have a 2-0 lead on the Cards in the second. ;) :D

    lol,

Yeah those darn Cardinals are first in the NLC division. ;) :D

I really like this interleague play. Gives us a chance to see the NL teams instead of the Yankees and Red Soxs 20 times each every year(seems like that many anyway). :p

Pretty funny too watching the American league pitchers, hit. :D

Well, maybe the Mariner luck has changed. Last night they beat the hottest team in the National League, the Phillies. :D We'll see how it goes tonight. I think the A's are in Seattle next week. :D

Okay, rub it in. But don't brag too much or the As will start losing again. Mariner fans have to be patient as it's always 'next year' for us.

    'Roid suspension for Raffy
Palmeiro says he 'never intentionally used steroids' but must sit out 10 days for violating MLB drug policy

    http://www.newsday.com/sports/baseball/ny-spraffy0802,0,6883610.story?coll=ny-sports-headlines

Well Raffy just brought legitimacy to all the aligations put forth by Jose Canseco at the congressional hearings in march into steroids in baseball...

He sat there and denied every using steroids and today..... there it is.

I heard on sports talk radio today that if these drug tests were before the hearings there could be a possible pergury charge put forth.

A great career is now suspect.
