I love going to see the A's ever since i was a child spending time my daddy. I went to Raiders games but I love the Sac Kings they are my fave. I do have a lot of fun in cali. I got to see the kings play the lakers in the vip sits it was dream come true also got to meet some of the players at a oakland bar. We went to a players only party. Maybe That could happen again when I'm out there.

lol, i could imagine! :ninja: kinda sad, but that's why i don't go to too many games anymore. when i was a kid, my dad had season tickets for 4 years, which he got for free from work. we went to so many games, it felt like the coliseum was a second home to me. it was between '88-'91 too. great years for the a's. allstar games, world series, playoffs....just a real good time. i'm sure all the bad stuff i see going on around the coliseum was there when i was a kid, but i never really noticed until i got older i guess. :doubt:

I'm a Mariners fan and they have been so bad that it looks like a repeat of last year. On this last road trip they lost 7 games straight and then managed to win one today from Tampa Bay.

I take it you're an A's fan. There's been some good rivalry between them and the Mariners. I'm a long time Seattle area resident, so I have to be a fan don't I? :D I might have to find a sack to wear soon.

By the looks of that chart Ron, i would assume the White Sox have gone the longest now of any MLB team without winning a World Series.(was Boston until last year)

Thanx Ron, the way I see it now is they certainly have good commercial talents over there...it's not the best in the class is it?

I bet it's a bigger frenzy then soccer in Europe :D superbowl and stuff that is like Champions League (soccer) but fivefold lol...

I hope one day I can experience this all in some estadion :)

Soccer seems to be the biggest of all. :)

The pay some of the professional athletes get over here has turned a lot of people away from sports.

Babe Ruth's 1919 contract sold at auction for nearly 1 million dollars

    http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/nationworld/2002329328_babe11.html

The price Siegel paid was nearly double the presale estimate for the Dec. 26, 1919, contract, a five-page typed document signed by owners Harry Frazee of the Red Sox and Jacob Ruppert of the Yankees. The contract recorded the $100,000 sale of Ruth to the Yankees, a transaction that altered baseball history.
