My daughter's computer had serious problems with programs like Royal Casino and GAIN. I ran an updated copy of Ad-aware. Seems like most problem programs have been deleted. However, when starting up the computer we get this message:
    Error Loading
    C:\Windows\system32\bridge.dll could not be found

I downloaded and ran HijackThis. Log is pasted below. Thanks.

    Hi DFD77772003,

Have only HijackThis running and fix :

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [RunDLL] rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\System32\bridge.dll",Load
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [fash] C:\WINDOWS\fash.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SysUpd] C:\WINDOWS\sysupd.exe

Restart PC after doing so in Safe Mode : Here's How and remove :

    C:\WINDOWS\System32\bridge.dll <- this file
    C:\WINDOWS\fash.exe <- this file
    C:\WINDOWS\sysupd.exe <- this file

    Clean temp internet files

    Restart again in normal mode

    Hope this helps

    Cheers,

    Thank you UNZY!

    It worked.

The first and third window files you listed were not there, but the frash one was and i deleted it.

Also, I got a start-up box when i went back to normal mode saying that Microsoft configuration (or something similar) needed to run because I had made changes. I checked the box so that it would not run or appear anymore and it didn't.

So, now everything seems to work fine.

How do you think she picked up all the adware? Our computers at home do not seem to have similar problems.
