Vista x86 SP1 Free Build, all Windows updates/patches applied as of today.

    NOD32 3.0.650.0 Sig 3125.

I'm experiencing system freeze at various points during the day since the 3119 problems, notable this morning when the 3125 patch was applied.

Attaching windbg to ekrn.exe also freezes the system.

If you want crash dumps / kernel dumps or any other info let me know, but this is a fresh build as of last week, and has been completely stable e.t.c until the 3119 problems.

    Solution:
    1. Boot in Safe Mode

    2. Open Start -> Programs -> ESET -> ESET NOD32 Antivirus
    and
    Select Uninstall
    3. Reboot
    4. Download fresh new version of ESET NOD32 Antivirus 3.0 from
http://www.eset.com/download . Make sure that you choose the correct version.

    5. Delete manually these folders:

    for Vista:
    - C:\Program files\ESET
    - C:\Program data\Eset
    - C:\Users\~username~\AppData\Local\Eset

    6. Reinstall your ESET software using the file you downloaded in step 4 . Use typical install. :thumb:

Have you restarted the computer after downloading the update 3121? (we're already at 3125)

I was also experiencing problems with the latest signatures AND after following the instructions provided in various threads.

I have now uninstalled NOD32. I can't afford to waste risking damage to my hard drive with all these system freezes and disorderly shutdowns. This has wasted a day and a half of my life.

On Monday morning I'll be calling ESET Australia and requesting a refund for the time remaining on my subscription. If that fails, I will dispute the credit card transaction with my provider.

    This is not good enough!
