When doing a full deep system scan can take some time, so is best done when you are away from the PC for a while but the on demand scan of files or folders takes negligible resources.
In the full version you can install Execution Protection which is a hook that checks the file before it is run, this takes very lttle resources.
It is recommended to do a full system scan weekly.
When TDS3 is started it does various scans such as CRC check, memory object scan, mutex scan etc. these are selected by the user and takes a few seconds depending on what start up scans you have enabled.
When sitting on your desktop or in the systray at idle and with Execution Protection enabled it takes about 12MB of memory on this PC
