What about this product? Seems to do good job in recovering system:
"combines the speed and reliability of disk-based, bare-metal Windows® system recovery with revolutionary technologies for hardware-independent restoration and lights-out operation. The result is unparalleled freedom to restore systems anytime, from anywhere, to virtually any device"
    Any Idea?

I used ver 7 for nearly a year although I didn't test Restore AnyWare. It's a nice app, the big brother of Ghost 14 and functionally very similar to Shadow Protect.

It a personal choice as to which you use. All are reliable.

Whenever i hear the word Symantec i shudder. It ok but you never know what Symantec are going to do from one version to the next. I smell corporate.

    i have tryed it.
for the trial you get a .iso download for the vistape recovery cd so you can test restore. it takes ages to load on startup on my rig vista SP1 with quad core processer and 2GB of ram. its a decent program that does both standard file backups with imaging as well. of course everytime a schdulded backup starts you get the big yellow syamantec warning in the right hand corner.
