    Hi,

Detection rate at mere 10% for S--and Mc-- using his method ? It is the blast from A-bomb.

S--and Mc-- folks , I bet you, are eager to know what are actually going on in his house.

Home grown evidence and home made medicine, very lethal combination indeed.

May have to resort to home invasion to get the truth out. :D

    Take care , folks.

They may not be the "best" by some criteria, but they seem to get the job done.

Based on my own experience, I can somewhat agree with your findings.

I find Symantec to be a good product, I have used it in the past, but my needs to play with a AV have changed.
My father in law bought a couple off days a go a brand new pc with Vista Home Premium.
Note, He’s not a risky surfer, and uses his pc online only for banking and email, so I suggested Symantec AV 2008. Looking over his shoulders when he installed it, I’m almost tempted to go back. It’s runs very smoothly.

I was referencing this older thread and not the Nov. 07 comparative: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=170097

I've also seen other forum regular(s) claim that Sophos requested their test results be removed from public view with no mention about internal testing only. However I do see that you stated "This happens when tests are done without the permission to publish the results. To avoid legal problems or similar, its easier to remove the report."

I'm sure we're all curious to see if Sophos has improved. At least Webroot believes in their engine. :p
