Thanks Rita. I hope they can help me also. Or someone at the sygate forum can help me. Right now the only firewall that seems to work and install is Kerio 4.1.1 (bloated and buggy) but it's a firewall till I get the sygate problem fixed. I just can't understand how come I can't install sygate.

Hey peeps, well..I submitted my request to the people of Sygate via that link...thanks Nic and Rita. Hopefully they can figure out a possible solution. I have heard good things about this firewall and would like to at least give my own opinion about it....

I think Sygate was already aware of the issue as they usually update the Pro version 1st and this time they haven't it is still at 5.5.2710 as the latest release.

I hate to bring back up old posts but I would like to let everyone know my standings on the Sygate issue. It's still an issue. I still can't fix it and I was told it was an error with MSI but MSI installed a few other programs. Maybe it's an issue with MSI and Sygate. LOL. But I'm Still on the search for a good firewall. Now I'm using the buggy Kerio 4.x and I tell you it works good but it's has too much stuff (3 services) running in the background and that's too many for a firewall that all I want to do is hide my ports. :) Thanks to everyone that helped me. If anyone runs across a fix please let me know.

    Hey notageek

In Start Menu\Run, Enter: MSIEXEC /UNREG

Wait couple seconds and goto Start Menu\Run, Enter: MSIEXEC /regserver

If you asking for the download link to Sygate I got this new one from Snapfiles.com because the one from Sygate website wasn't working and I thought if I tried a download somewhere else it might work but it don't.

On Sygate forum you said you done exactly

    msiexec /i C:\path_to\sps.msi REINSTALL=All REINSTALLMODE=vomus /qb

to no avail, did you place sps.msi into a directory path_to in C:\ ? If not create that directory and move or copy that .msi file into it and try the command again.

I don't think I did. I don't have a path_to on my C drive. So could you walk me through that process?

    It's the free version.

Well just copy or move the .msi file into the main C:\ and use this command in Run, msiexec /i C:\sps.msi REINSTALL=All REINSTALLMODE=vomus /qb

From majorgeeks.com I were capable of finding "spf.msi" Sygate Personal Firewall Free 5.6.2808. You should be downloading the executable file instead of .msi if you having problems, have you tried downloading the executable file yet?

Snapfiles.com has the exe file and I downloaded it and tried to install and I still get the same problem. That's what confuses me. I don't even have the SPF.MSI on my computer at all.

Ohhh, so you never downloaded spf.msi specifically, maybe you should download the .msi and use that instead of executable...
