I thinking about getting Sygate. Can you have two firewalls running at the same time? (I have Zone Alarm right now). If I like Sygate, I'll dump Zone Alarm.

It is highly recomended not two run to firewalls at the same time. It can cause both of them to become inefective and they will fight over your system resources.

Running two firewalls at the same time is strongly not recommended. By running multiple firewalls, all the firewalls will compete for more system resources and your computer will be less secure.

It depends on what level the firewalls run on and what options you use in each one.

Does it not also depend on which type of firewall you use as some work differently for example some create false security holes to monitor hackers and create more detailed logs where as other just hide everything.

In this case I believe they are working in the same way, however if you were to change one of your prefered firewalls you could make an even bigger mess.

One firewall is enough for most and if you behind a router, its even safer.
