https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/hello-status Finally, this bloatware will be gone in final release of Firefox 49.
I'm happy to say goodbye to Hello! Browsers should be browsers, not IM clients, web servers or anything else. If Mozilla had ignored junk like Hello, maybe we'd have Electrolysis/e10s by now...
Firefox said "Hello", but i said "bye" and disabled it I think that was my first action, and i even don't wanted to know what "Hello" is. Exactly
same here, i use other messengers. its a set and forget. a true effort for mozilla to investigate in a secure messenger but truly a waste of time to implement it in firefox. firefox got bloated in another way. its more the way lurching through features. IMO Hello is still available as an extension.
Stable release of Firefox 49 will be out on September 13th. http://www.ghacks.net/2016/09/09/mozilla-postpones-firefox-49-release/ Also they will fix some serious bugs as well. "The two blocker bugs in question address issues when loading Giphly embeds on Twitter, and slow script / unresponsive script dialogs in Firefox when resuming Firefox."
