Mysterious key-killing appears to be a company policy. Far far too aggressive, considering I run snapshots constantly, it likely is viewing my snapshots as 'new activations'. Bullguard did this as well, but with Bullguard you can log into their website, disable/enable installations as needed within the licensed number of machines.

Program did not update to latest version. Did download and custom install to avoid have Chrome installed and made my default browser.

None here either - maybe their server is down? Seems like a lapse in service, tho. A little concerned since I have a "lifetime" subscription.....lol.

    Thanks. Got it.

I been using SuperAntiSpyware a long long time and respect how they continue to improve on it despite ol malwarebytes bragging rights and followers.

I'll pit SAS scanning speed and stability anytime compared to malwarebytes rocky ride and hiccup slow sweeps.

That's been my experience between the two and nothing is changed.

    Keep up the good work.

    Uh, wow.

In pretty much every test that I know of in the last 4 years, MBAM came out as one of the better products tested and was almost always the best product in its class --- and SAS usually came out as one of the worst products tested, and the worst product in its class.

    http://www.mrg-effitas.com/wp-conte...ffitas-Real-Time-Protection-Test-Q1-20131.pdf

This has been consistent year after year.

But hey... to each his own.

I kept SuperAntiSpyware for a long time, but got sick of various issues. First, the discussed to death context menu still requires the main program to be open to appear. Second, a service is required running in the background unlike every other on-demand scanner, and it doesn't even solve the first problem. Third, it had a number of false positives, mostly registry entries and remember me cookies. Lastly, it showed no improvent in more tests than just MRG.

Just purely based on my own experience running both MBAM and SAS on infected machines in the past, I have consistently found MBAM to have much better detection rates than SAS. When I encounter an infected machine, quite often MBAM is all I need to use to clean it.

I haven't use SAS for some time, as it in general was not catching anything MBAM missed, so seemed like a waste of time. However, I will try SAS again soon to see how it fares currently. I do remember it being one the best products when it was very first released.

At least SAS like MBAM doesn't have issues with false positives.

SAS forums are a mess. Lots of problems and few solutions.

Worst product in many tests. Really... the very worst.

Like seriously... why would anybody here use SAS?

Well, they answered this pretty fast - one of the administrators replied:

"If you are receiving a message about a corrupt file signature when trying to download our software:

A recent update by Microsoft has been causing our application download to be flagged incorrectly. Our files are safe and our file signature is valid, you check this by opening the file's properties. You should be able to save the download, afterwards navigate to the Downloads folder in your Windows user directory and run the file directly.

You can also try using a different browser than Internet Explorer. Chrome or Firefox should allow the download".

I used Chrome instead of IE10 and download was fine - installed perfectly.

SAS rarely found anything MBAM didn't, except tracking cookies. As long as you have MBAM, SAS is basically redundant.
