Seems like the original link is already dead, and it redirects to their Vipre Premium product, oh well. :thumbd:

I corrected one of my links above, but it didn't help.

I remember when BlackIce went under. Sunbelt stepped up and offered all BlackIce users a free license to the Sunbelt firewall. I wonder if some company does the same in this current situation?

The Filehippo site has 4.6.1861 which was the last paid version. Whether people can get a license these days, I doubt, in which case a bunch of functions (needed or not) are removed after it runs for 30 days.
    From the 4.6.1861 user manual:
I don't see the 4.7 beta at Filehippo. That version is identical to 4.6.1861 but there's no license and no stripped out functions.
As far as performace, they're identical (though most of the time I don't use web content, hips) and never use remote control.

How is "Non-Commercial Freeware" a paid version?

I don't know. I never understand those classifications - commercial freeware, free download and other such :)

At Filehippo, I clicked the "technical" tab. It's the 2008 version, MD5=65F849C58624569A4207DDCD2599F632, which matches the paid 4.6.1861 version from Sunbelt download, and it does NOT match MD5 of 4.7.
So it'll most likely drop some features. It's no big deal, those functions aren't really needed unless you want hips and web watch, oh, and a popup about 'you're using an unlicenced version' if you accidentally select, say, the hips tab in the menu.
Would be nice if filehippo had the 4.7 version.

Yeah, that's the one that should have been distributed when they finished with it in the beta program.
