    At this point, the only safe recommendation to new users is to rely on someone more experienced on security software products.

    I know a bunch of 'i-know-it-all' types around my area. They are way more dangerous than rogue products themselves.

    Looking at their "Avira" page, there is a statement on the bottom:

    "If you are an advanced computer user, you probably don't need our services".

    I think that says it all..... :rolleyes:
