    "Sun Microsystems Announces Agreement to Acquire innotek ...

    Good news in my opinion. Sun is squarely moving into the open source arena not only with OpenSolaris and Java, but also with acqusitions such as innotek (now) and MySQL (very recently).

    I am currently running innotek VirtualBox on Win XP Pro as my host os, and Debian Etch and Arch as guest os's. Debian "runs like a dream" virtualized. Arch is a little rough around the edges virtualized. I have only good things to say about innotek and am pleased to hear that they are moving to Sun Microsystems.

    Currently, I am running Solaris Express Developer Edition (Solaris 5.11) with very good results. I really like their Java Desktop System. All in all, very stable and slick.

    Thumbs Up.

    I can only agree...:)

    But I don´t recognize the SXDE 5.11? I´m running the latest 1/08 myself and judging by the improvements in comparison with the Solaris 10 I think it´s time soon for the new Solaris 11...

    /C.

    On boot: SunOS Release 5.11

    $ uname -a
    SunOS solaris-devx 5.11 (partial result)

    Good to see another SXDE user here.
