Successful attack on encrypting hard drives

    This was ridiculous. The article linked read like an Elcomsoft press release (and those are usually laughable). These "hackers" think they've done something by grabbing something from a fully encrypted disk drive that is in stand-by mode.(!) (!) Just to be clear, hibernation and stand-by modes are basically the same as leaving a physical bank safe door halfway open instead of fully open. In other words, they present another "attack" on encryption while the computer is powered up. Nothing new here, we can move right along.

    Thanks for posting, Nebulus......it was interesting to see these claims anyway.
