Disable it and use the uninstall shortcut in your start menu.

OK Try this.. Right click on PG in Systray, uncheck Protection Enabled.
    Then try the un-install...

    Uninstall reinstall helped my problem!

The best way to uninstall it is to boot into Safe Mode.

Check the help file for manual uninstall

When installing, again use the help file and ALLOW Learning Mode enough time to set up your system. This requires running your normal programs, and rebooting at least once. PG should be pretty much flawless on any system then..

You know the requirement to reboot after learning mode should be made clearer. I mean who reboots these days? No one I know who has XP does. That is part of the point of using XP instead of 98SE. ;) No need to reboot for weeks. I reboot on Microsoft Tuesdays only usually. :D When I got PG, I never realized I needed to reboot after learning mode...but then learning mode takes weeks. I don't know why DiamondCS makes it sound like that is quick. I have fairly close to the limit of 256 (about 225 I think) protected applications. I wasn't able to run all of those quickly when I got PG. :D

Am I really going to have to go through learning mode AGAIN when I am finally able to upgrade to 3.2o_O Or have I misunderstood?
