Strange KPOP connection ?

Whilst doing some IP checks on - http://centralops.net/co = 70.84.211.98 = The Planet, i noticed a strange outbound connection, monitoring with CurrPorts.

Port # 1109 KPOP = Kerberos Post Office Protocol

In computing, local e-mail clients can use the Kerberized Post Office Protocol (KPOP), an application-layer Internet standard protocol, to retrieve e-mail from a remote server over a TCP/IP connection. The KPOP protocol is based on the POP3 protocol with the differences that it adds Kerberos security and that it runs by default over TCP port number 1109 instead of 110. One mail server software implementation is found in the Cyrus IMAP server.

Kerberos (pronounced /?k??rb?r?s/[1]) is a computer network authentication protocol, which allows nodes communicating over a non-secure network to prove their identity to one another in a secure manner. Its designers aimed primarily at a client–server model, and it provides mutual authentication — both the user and the server verify each other's identity. Kerberos protocol messages are protected against eavesdropping and replay attacks.

Kerberos builds on symmetric key cryptography and requires a trusted third party, and optionally may use public-key cryptography by utilizing asymmetric key cryptography during certain phases of authentication.[2]

I saved a log, and the Process was FF.
