Startup Scan is super slow

    I just installed smart security on my pc with windows xp home edition and the start up scan is taking forever to run.

    I just upgraded from eset antivirus which the icon down in the lower right hand never stopped turning.

    I didnt have any problems during the install.

    Any suggestions besides an uninstall and then re-install? I did this when I had the eset antivirus with no change in the softwares perpetual scan situation.

    With slow you mean you are having performance problems or the scan is slow?

    Would you please check your settings against what is listed as defaults
    here and post back your findings. Please state your installed version
