Start up

    How do I set this progran not to load at start up not to run in the background and no icon in task bar until called for basically on demand only.

    Right-click the small ewido/AVG AntiSpyware Icon in the System Tray (near the Systemclock) to open the Context-menu. Deactivate here the Option 'Run with Windows'.
