When activating SSL protocol filtering, Firefox 12 starts acting up when trying to access ssl secure sites. The error message that shows is:

    (Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)

I thought this problem was solved long ago. I tried reinstalling FF but no luck. This happens with latest version of ESET SmartSecurity 5.2.91

For the time being I had to turn off this feature.

    Thanks,

Does the problem persist after carrying out the following steps?

    1, close Firefox
2, disable SSL scanning in EAV and click OK
    3, enable SSL scanning
    4, start Firefox

Hi Marcos, thanks for your reply,

Sorry it took me a while to respond, I've been busy with university stuff and work, xD

Doing the steps you mention, the problem goes away. Not sure, but I'm guessing it'll be back after reboot?

    Best regards,

Did you perform a clean installation or upgraded over an older version (v4 or v5.0)?

    Hello,

Just thought of updating this post, sorry I did not do it sooner. A couple days later, the problem went away. Probably with some AV update. Thanks Marcos
