SpyWareGuard Runtime error 429

I run XP. On my side spywareguard runs fine, on my wifes side, when it comes up I get the 'runtime error 429 Activ X complonent can't create object'. I read STICKY's thread saying to go to a microsoft sight and download a file. the file is scripter.exe . well I tried this from her side and it screwed up the screen on her side and my side and I had to go back to a restore point. Anyone have any other idea's. Can't figure out why it won't work on her side.
