spywareguard problems - cant open any files

A friends installed spywareguard from http://www.spychecker.com

However its locked her computer up.

Attempts to open files such as word files result in the following error message "This file may be corrupt, another program may have tampered with it. This message will appear when you try to open covered files."

Its also blocked her from accessing the 'add/remove programs so she cant even uninstall it, and it appears to have blocked certain software such as yahoo messenger.

Would appreciate any and all suggestions ?
