I have just installed a UPS which issues a automatic "Shutdown" - I then get the message: "Are you sure you wish to terminate SpywareGuard" followed by the option "YES/NO" and then the Shutdown "hangs" waiting for a response.

If I enter "YES" I get a "Run Time Error 369" I think ... It flashes by very quickly.

This is a problem because if the user is not there to "terminate" SpywareGuard ... then the Shutdown hangs and I don't get a clean shutdown !

On a normal "user initiated" Shutdown ... no messages - all clean ....

    SpywareGuard 2.1 - Windows XP SP1 - UPSMon PLUS 2.7b8

Thanks for reporting this - I'll look into adding an option to disable that message. :)

    Best regards,

Do you get an error when you try to shutdown SpywareGuard yourself?

For now you could try this free program called Push The Freakin' Button. I've haven't tried it but you can set it to always choose yes when terminating SG.

If I manually "exit" SpyGuard ... I get the standard SpyGuard warning message ...

If I manually issue a Windows XP Shutdown ... everything ends including Spyguard - no messages.

I've only seen this situation when the UPS initiates the "Shutdown"
    All other process terminate normally.

BTW ... after manually clicking YES to the message the runtime error that pops up is 339.

I'll try the PTFB utility and see if that works ... thks !
