    Hey People,

I work for a school service company, and we administrate the computer systems of over 500 primary schools in the Netherlands. A mayor issue for us right now is spyware. Imagine this; a 4th-grader just innocently playing a game on the Internet... and suddenly being confronted with one of those porn pop-ups we know all too well...
Needless to say, we can't let this sort of thing happen anymore. We're currently considering options, and SpywareGuard seems to be a good solution because of the fact that it's freeware and that it offers real-time protection so it protects systems without requiring action from users.

An issue for us is, however, the way the program is updated. We'd rather download the definitions once in a while on a central location and distribute them over the schools from there... we are currently using that approach with our virus scanner.

So much for the intro; what I would like to ask here, is if there is a location (HTTP, FTP...) where we could have a script check for new definitions and download them periodically. (We use Linux servers so we can't use SWguards internal auto update function)

    Thanks in Advance,

    Heliode
