    Hi,

I am new to SpywareBlaster, I installed and ran the software yesterday and tested it, it works great.

    I have a small question ...

Do I need to run the program everytime I start my pc or is the program similar to wormguard3 in that it does not need to be executed after I have initially activated the protection?

    Thanks,

    Wink.

    Hi wink,

The only reason to start SpywareBlaster again after setting the "killbits" is to get the updates :)
The killbits stay in place until you remove them and thus protect you.
It does not really work the same way Wormguard does, since WG checks everything that's started to see if it's OK and SB only keeps a place occupied so that the spyware can't use it.

    Hope this helps,

    Pieter

You're welcome. I'm always very triggerhappy myself in testing if all these security apps, that you don't see are really "at the job" :D
    Trust me. SpywareBlaster works.

    Regards,

    Pieter

Hi Wyntyrmarie and welcome at Wilder's
Spywareblaster does not run in the background. It's a run once
program. So you just have to look for updates that's all :)

When trying to install the missing .ocx file I get the error message that a device is disabled and the install fails.
