SpywareBlaster takes 6 minutes to open

I have been using Spywareblaster for pretty long time and have had no problem so far. But now ,on win98, it takes nearly 6 minutes to open. For 3 minutes it stays at the opening screen with blue strips on the top and left side and 3 minutes it stays at the scroll bar. The downloading of updates is pretty fast and again it takes very long at the scroll bar.

2. I have also seen that if I disable protection of mozilla/firefox, it open normally.

3. I even tried reinstalling after deleting all folders and links in windows and registry but of no avail. The slow motion continues.

4. Is any remedy possible ??

5. On winXP it opens as usual.
