As always, SpywareBlaster doesn't use any services, drivers, or anything that constantly runs in the background, consuming your computer's memory and processing time. You just open SpywareBlaster, set your protection, and close it - you're protected.

And it works great with other reputable security and privacy applications, including anti-virus, anti-trojan, and even other anti-spyware programs. There's no such thing as a 100% effective solution, and SpywareBlaster was designed from day one to be a compatible, effective part of any security setup you may want to configure.

    Upgrading Tips:

To upgrade SpywareBlaster from a previous version you can either:
    (a) Download and install the new version of SpywareBlaster "over-the-top".
    (b) Uninstall the old version of SpywareBlaster first. Please see the detailed upgrade instructions here: http://www.brightfort.com/sbupdate.html

    Either method should work.

I use Opera, so I can't use SpywareBlaster. But I used it in the past, and I like it as a strong first line defense. :thumb:

I copied my Firefox profile into Cyberfox and the blocked cookies list is filled by SpywareBlaster.

It shouldn't be that hard to add cyberfox & opera support to the app, it would be nice if this could be done javacool.

I would have done this, had I have Firefox installed.
So I still need the developers to put this into the next update.
And yes, I have tried the trick of copying cyberfox's profile into a firefox created folder and it still does not work.
So will have to be a little more patient.

Is there a link to any custom lists for spyware blaster? I used to use one a long while back, but can't seem to remember where I retrieved it from

There hasn't been any updates since 11/11. Looks like this program is just about abandonware.

I believe SpywareBlaster is far from abandonware. It still gets regular signature (CLISD) updates. It doesn't update with the same frequency as Google Chrome and Firefox admittedly. I believe it's because SpywareBlaster's developers are still relatively sane lol. :argh:

A small issue was identified in our updating infrastructure, and we rolled back to the 11/11 revision until it could be properly addressed. It is now resolved and you should see multiple updates downloaded if you check for updates today.

In my Protection Status, I only see Internet Explorer, Restricted Sites and Mozilla Firefox, no Google Chrome, which I have installed, as before, or was I dreaming?

How do I get it back?

    Bump.
Even if I run Chrome, SpywareBlaster is not recognising it.
