A few questions Kitsune, open task manager and tell me if "Msbb.exe" is running,
and how comfortable are you editing the registry?

While you're at it, go to add/remove and see if you find "Interstitial Ad Delivery by n-CASE."
edit : Also, what sort of scanning software do you have on-board?
    Your system?

you should take a look at this microsoft knowledgebase article:

    http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=317714

Within this article it gives some important steps to follow in cleaning up this item from the computer. Something not mentioned in the article though is the need to "delete cookies" and "delete files" (delete all offline content) as these are utilized by the infection and can cause the issue to re-occur. Not doing this may also bring up "Page cannot be displayed" in your browser when visiting some sites you have visited in the past.

It is still important to use a spyware removal utility to clean up the system after taking these steps to remove the remainders left behind by this aggressive affiliate program. a few links are listed below:

    SPYSWEEPER:

    SPYBOT S&D:

    Good Luck!

When it comes to using software for scannig for spyware on a system, it's always smart to get a couple of opinions (or scans) for that very reason. Each spyware removal utility has a "definition" list which is a list of items it searches the computer for that it is aware is spyware. If it does not recognize a certain item on the computer when comparing it to it's list then it simply skips over it. The designer of the programs needs to manaually add the items discovered to the list so when new spyware is released, one program may have an advantage over another because the designer discovered the item first and supplied the update.
