This may not be a big deal, but I don't know. It seems pretty lame to post a bad checksum. I downloaded it several, at least five, times and it never matched the checksum. I tried both download sites. I did notice 2 or 3 checksums that kept recurring, but did not match the one of the site. The downloads do not have a version number so I can only hope that they are 1.5.00.740

    I get:
    4712aa14bc7cab36282a4ed828cb22f7
    b89226fb70b277ff262647970df077e8

from the two downloads that I still have. Should be:

    Spyware Terminator 1.5.00.740 (2.26 MB)
    md5sum: 7c719ecf2da6b6975e68360667fd06f4

I think that it is because it is the only real-time ST program except for the Microsoft one which is being roundly maligned, for the most part. It is pretty ghetto to post a bad checksum when you are know to have been a blacklisted company in the past. Why doesn't it match, not on top of things? Other crap in there? What...?

I posted in there forums yesterday morning, here:

    not one response from them.

I wonder where the company name of crawler was derived from? Odd choice for a company name. I also never thought of Boca Raton, FL as a tech area. Wonder why they are based there? Most FL companies that I have come across are those boiler room commodity brokers (or hucksters). Mostly annoying high pressure telemarketing sales pitches.

That's interesting that the md5 checksum doesn't match.

I know for me the interest in Spyware Terminator is mainly on acount of what brjoon1021 mentioned;freeware with real-time features.

At their forum someone replied back that the development team is on vacation (three day weekend starting today, here in the states...) That is a completely fine explanation for me. I don't expect a small company to check forums while on a much needed vacation.

I have heard good things about this application, actually many good things here and at other forums so I plan on using it.

Would one of you successful, happy users of this product tell me which of the two md5sums that I have posted matches the download that you successfully installed. I at least want to choose one that someone else will vouch for.

My downloads have produced these two checksums:

    4712aa14bc7cab36282a4ed828cb22f7
    b89226fb70b277ff262647970df077e8

You are likely using one or the other.
