Does anyone know this site, 'Spyware Removers'?

    http://removers.volyn.net/

Gives a lot of info on removing rogue software and malware. It's a russian site, looks legit.

    Comments?

'Spyware Removers' is the name of the site, not a software...

Edit: ok, I just found the site, didn't download anything, just wanted to know if it was legit, per your answer it is not. Thx.

I just tried to go to that site (IE7 in Protected Mode/Vista) and got a message that "Intranet settings are now turned off by default. Intranet settings are less secure than internet settings. Click here for options." IE7 would not allow the page to load.

I went to the site and hit two links for removal tools for 2 different types of malware. Both downloads were spyzookasetup1.exe.

And Spyzooka was formerly listed as rogue application in Spywarewarrior's list of rogue/suspect websites and applications. It has since been de-listed. However, there are likely more capable spyware removers in the market than this :)

It seems that the whole site is set up to push spyzooka, yet I found no mention of it by name anywhere. That tells you about the site, and probably about spyzooka (if it is actually the real, checkered past spyzooka).

So it would seem :) With all the nice affiliate-information contained in the links, making sure the webmaster gets his/hers share...

    Hello,

That site is not an affiliate of Spyzooka.

When I went to the site they are an affiliate of Spyware Doctor made by PC Tools.

If you have any questions related to Spyzooka I'm happy to address them in this thread, PM, blog, or help desk found at the link below.

I can't be bothered to remember this story anymore, however some time has passed already :) Whether they are or are not, is not relevant anymore.
