Spyware propogation: email or Surfing?

    What is the most prevalent way that spyware makes it on to your PC?

    The reason I ask is that I am considering using SanboxIE. But it is not convenient to run my mail client in the sandbox as I frequently send and receive email and attachments that I must save.

    So I was wondering what the most popular means of infection are.
